Haphazard
I actually asked myself, “why is that forsaken alarm going off so early?” So, without hesitation (or leaving REM seep) I silenced the melodic 3:45 a.m. wakeup. Three hours later, I wake in a fit to realize I was about to embark in the strangest day, ever.
- Missed my early flight, then (literally) paid out the nose for a rescheduled flight tomorrow.
- Had thirteen small heart attacks over the incident, then decided to recover by playing 28 holes of miniature golf with my best friend.
- Found out my dad didn’t get the job for ridiculous reasons beyond belief.
- Had my tarot cards read (no reasoning or explanation - whatsoever).
- Have one solitary eyelash growing inwards, towards my eye itch like hell the entire day.
Such a mixed bag of emotions - comparable to those you might get from having an uncomfortable medical procedure in the center of a carnival. Does that then mean tomorrow will be hazard-less and routine, with no faults? Or just different - yet, better.
